Family Y of Greater Augusta Honored with National Fundraising Award

The Family Y of Greater Augusta was awarded the prestigious Eagle Award at the International NAYDO Conference in Pittsburgh last week. NAYDO is the North American YMCA Development Organization which inspires and strengthens the philanthropic culture of YMCAs in the US and Canada. Augusta staff attended the conference and accepted the award.

"We feel as if we accepted this award not only on behalf of our staff and fundraising volunteers, but also on behalf of all our members and the entire community," says Danny McConnell, President and CEO of the Family Y of Greater Augusta. "It is because of the generosity of all who support our mission that we celebrate our success in fundraising."

Family Y Partners with New KROC Center

Our reciprocal membership agreement with the Kroc Center has begun. Thanks to our community partnership with the Salvation Army, Family Y Metro Members will be allowed to visit the Kroc Center five times per month. As part of our partnership, Metro Members may visit and use any of its amenities such as the fitness center, indoor aquatics center and basketball gym. Family Y members will scan their Y membership card upon each visit and complete a brief background check on their initial visit. Click here for further details.
